follow your heart

The guiding precepts for my goals for 2013 are only two: to simplify and to savor, however, whenever and wherever possible. I hope this opens the door for more inspiration, and that what you read here will inspire you too. Though it’s a new year, it’s easy to follow old routines; sometimes it takes a little extra effort to shake things up or take a path not traveled before. I hope you’re able to find your way a little better this year, and I offer this thought for your consideration: Don’t follow the money, follow your heart.

    • Hi Ouida,

I actually already had the words “this thought” in the post above linking to that same video, which a friend on Facebook shared earlier this week. Great video!

  1. Oh man…that’s a good word. Even though there is no money in pastoring, Lol, even still we should follow our hearts and pray for the heart of God. Bless you!

  2. Hi Michele: Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! I totally appreciate your thought to follow your heart vs the money. I made a drastic change in my career a couple of years ago. While I’ve been the happiest and healthier for it (reduced stress), I find that I don’t know how much longer I can continue/sustain to follow my heart and may have to go back to a prior career because of the money. I hope it won’t be so.

Looking forward to reading your posts this year!

    • Hi Cristina,

Happy New Year to you too! I hope you are able to continue to follow your heart, but I completely understand the reality of needing to bring in more money. It seems sometimes like the path is labyrinthine, doesn’t it? I hope you’ll continue to plug away at what you truly love to do and that doors of opportunity will open.

Looking forward to reading your posts as well!
